Introducing a new nozzle that will make an important sector of the global graffiti scene very happy — the Pocket Fat Cap. It is a cap that shoots paint in the same pattern as the Pocket (for outlines with a slightly fuzzy edge, but easy to use and effective) but thicker and longer scope. Barcelona's Foner GFM APG executes a style that's perfectly suited to this aesthetic. So through his hand we can see just how this nozzle works. As we mentioned above, the Pocket Fat is a cap whose characteristics are perfect for use in throw-ups, so one piece isn't enough to show Pocket Fat Cap's full potential... https://www.instagram.com/cruyfoner/ More info: http://www.mtn-world.com
Murals, installation and the best of New Contemporary Art. This has been Urvanity 2019! Enjoy this short summary of the fair. See you next year!
When I lived in Nerja in 2017, Málaga was just a €4.50 bus ride away. So I often went there, and I was impressed by all the gorgeous street art I stumbled upon. When I moved to Granada later that year, I learned that the city has even more fantastic street art than Málaga. It sometimes feels like going to an art gallery, just by walking down a street. This is a few of my favorites. The photos were captured in 2017 and 2018.

To open this new year of interventions at the now mythical La Torrassa bridge, Contorno Urbano has chosen graffiti artists Zurik. Born and raised in Bogota and now living in Barcelona where she has filled a gap in the local scene thanks to her activities on the walls in Sabadell with a style easy to recognize. Facebook : https://es-es.facebook.com/MeetingofstylesSpain/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mos_spain/ Madrid is the capital of Spain and its largest city with a population of roughly 3.3 million and 6.5 million in the metropolitan area. As the capital city of Spain, seat of government, and residence of the Spanish monarch, Madrid is also the political, economic and cultural centre of Spain. Graffiti in Spain is strong since many years, the train systems are painted since decades on frequent basis, the trainlines and freeways are full with coloured pieces, tuff styles and rough characters. The Madrid urban agglomeration has the third-largest GDP in the European Union and its influences in politics, education, entertainment, environment, media, fashion, science, culture, and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world’s major global cities. Due to its economic output, high standard of living, and market size, Madrid is considered the major financial centre of Southern Europe. How to graffiti? The place to be for the Graffiti event was the famous Metropolitano Wall at the university of Madrid with a length of 130m and between 2.20 and 3.50m high.
Comuna 13 is known for drugs, crime and poverty. It was Pablo Escobar's haven in Medellin at one point and has experienced the most incredible rejuvenation. This is where the outdoor escalators that Medellin is known for are located. Lots of street art, street food, street parties and really friggin' nice welcoming people. With a portrait as the central figure, the image includes typical Canarian architecture and local church on the left, along with big skyscraper, neon lights and award winning star shaped gas station designed in the '60 on the right. The difference between this cityscape and the recent ones Velasco has been painting around eastern Europe, is that these skyscrapers are not residential buildings but hotels and tourist apartments. Following the tourist boom, many of the buildings were erected in the 50's, changing the natural environment and creating an unique setting as a monument to these changes and rapid urbanization. The central portrait is depicting a young man, a dreamer, who placed within an plain cityscape has a wide open perspective. By composing the image in such way, the mural has a positive, optimistic feel to it, despite the dark and sterile images of night time city. Finally, the title "Rebellion der Träumer" (taken from the album name of german musical duo Kollektiv Turmstrasse), addresses the influence of foreign tourists on the development and traditions of Canary Islands." Caminar por las calles de Puerto de la Cruz es toda una experiencia artística llena de sorpresas… Si eres amante del arte urbano, Puerto Street Art es uno de los mejores motivos para disfrutar de la ciudad.
The street art district in Malaga is squeezed between the historical center and the port. Over recent years, thanks to an organised effort, many international artists have been asked to come here and paint, in an effort to revitalise the neighbourhood. Prime artist like Shepard Fairey, D*Face, ROA and Ben Eine coloured some walls. Local artists also play a role here, lead by Dadi Dreucol (a Malagueno) and Felipe Pantone (an Argentinean artist who lives in Valencia). It will be interesting to see in a few years from now, the seeds planted by the international artists, will help to expand the community of local artists www.streetartish.com Directed by Guglielmo Biason and Valentina Vitali
We continue to explore the worldwide street art scene. This time I use a few spare hours I got in Valencia, to discover the Barrio El Carmen, in the historical centre of the city. First of all, I have to recognise that the quantity and the quality of graffiti and street art is astonishing. Secondly, I must realise that I really don't know anyone of the street artists that lives and operates here. However, thanks to a smartphone, after a few hours, I start becoming familiar with Blu, Erica Il Cane, David De Limon, Deih and Felipe Pantone. Ultimately street art helps making Valencia's historical centre more lively and human www.streetartish.com

We wanted to make a documentary which was filmed mostly on the streets, shot from the hip, something that reflects the street art itself. A lot of the story comes from the street artists themselves. They were always generous with their time and information. They developed the process, they wanted this story to be told. Las Calles Hablan is a story about discovering a hidden world, an extraordinary subculture and the struggle between an artistic community painting for freedom of expression and an increasingly restrictive dogmatic government. Featured artists: Zosen, Mina Hamada, Kenor, Kram, El Xupet Negre, Debens, Fert, Dase, SM172, Ogoch, Kafre, Aleix Gordo, Meibol, Eledu, C215, H101, Miss Van, Btoy, El Arte Es Basura, Konair, Gola, Vinz. Additional art and film by: Secle, Eme, Alice, Pez, Skount, Enzo&Nio, Tom14, Bombing Art. Music by: Emma Lady EMZ, Secret Panda Society. In support for the release of Las Calles Hablan documentary we have organised an online petition to request the government to enter into conversation with the street art community. If you like the film and agree with our position, please sign the petition "Consider street art as a cultural asset for the city" The Petition can be viewed here: https://www.change.org/es/peticiones/barcelona-city-council-consider-street-art-as-a-cultural-asset-for-the-city-2 Additional article by Ian Currie The Ancient antagonism between street artists and governments http://thisbigcity.net/the-ancient-antagonism-between-street-artists-and-governments/ For a long list of related links and additional information view background information here in the Online Press Kit: http://storyboard.me/lascalleshablan Onist Film Web: http://onistfilm.wordpress.com Email: onistfilm@gmail.com
